 With over twenty years of managerial and entrepreneurial experience in IT and healthcare software in Europe, you founded Activ Doctors Online in the US, a platform that offers Personal Health Records (PHR), second medical opinions and e-consultations. How did you come up with this idea?

The idea originated in France in 2004 after I became the first French entrepreneur to hire physicians through a firm that I founded called Medic Services. Medic Services allowed me to understand how physicians supported each other’s diagnosis by providing second medical opinions on extremely difficult cases. The relationships that I’d established with some of the top specialists in Europe sparked my interest to provide access to individuals around the world in need of expert opinions. So in 2008, I founded Active Sante in Paris and developed the online personal health record as a secure way to allow the specialists to view patient information in a secure manner and to provide an online second medical opinion in as fast as 48 hours. In 2009, Activ Doctors Online was established in Miami and we added eConsultations in late 2012 to become one of the first telemedicine firms to provide all three solutions from a single platform.
